John Francis Kielty , Served In The U. S. Navy, John Retired As A Chief Electornics Tech.,. He Was On Active Duty When World War II Started, Serving On Three Aircraft Carriers During That Conflict, The USS Hornet, USS Lexington, USS Hancock. He Survived 14 Major Air-Sea Battles And The Sinking Of The USS Hornet At The Battle Of Santa Cruz On October 26, 1942.
